Adrienne the Horse

It's almost Friday! Yay! So, I'm pretty sure that Adrienne thinks she's a horse. The girl acts like a horse all day long..naying, galloping, building stables and making all the funny horse noises. We actually have to tell her to take a break from playing "horsie." She told us she doesn't want to do gymnastics anymore. She just wants to ride horses. So, I guess we will look into horse back riding lessons! We live in the right state for it! :) We surprised Ade with 2 horses at her birthday party in June! She was shocked and so elated! :) It was awesome. Just a few pictures from her birthday party since I never posted any in June....

Her birthday morning! Got a new big girl bike!

Her pretty princess cake that was about to fall apart!

So excited about her birthday surprise!

Madilynn is 7 months old today!!

Happy Wednesday! I just can't believe our baby girl is 7 months today!! I remember so clearly when Nick and I were on our way to the hospital the morning she was to be delivered. I was SO nervous and Nick just kept telling me to relax...and before we know it, weeks and months will have passed by. I didn't believe it would happen so fast and  here we are 7 months later! We just love her to pieces! She is always such a joy to be around and has brought so much happiness into our lives!!! Her big sissy loves her so much and can hardly stand when she's napping because she just wants to play with her all the time! Happy 7 months M!!
Madi being so silly while I'm trying to get a pic of her!!

Sweet girl is 7 months old!!

Her new favorite thing is to pull her bow off her head and wear it as a necklace :)

See my 2 pretty toofers? :)

Welcome to our blog!!

Hi family and friends!! I've decided to start bloggin' to update you on our daily happenings! (I can't promise it will be daily! haha) I've been using totsites since we were preggo with Ade but they started charging more and more money because I needed more space! I just thought it was silly to pay for a website when there are so many that are free! So, here we are! The Delacoma Daily...catchy huh? LOL Nick is going to make so much fun of me!! :)

Lots has been happening in our world! We decided to put our house up for sale and we had prospective buyers almost immediately!! Nothing is final so I don't want to say too much but I will update you soon on the house situation!! But we are very very excited!!

Ade turned four on June 14 and we had a fabulous bday party for her at my Mom's house in IN. If you know Ade at all, you know she is absolutely obsessed with horses. Like, in she acts like a horse or acts like she's riding a horse pretty much all day long. So, we thought it was only fitting that we had horsies at her bday party!! She was so surprised and told Daddy when the horses arrived, "Oh, daddy, just what I always wanted!" haha. Uh-oh. Did she think she was going to get to take them home? Yes, she would have loved to but she was ok when they had to leave.

We took our first vacation as a family of four! We packed our car full and off we went to Destin, Florida. 12 hours...we didn't know what to expect! The morning we were supposed to leave, Ade woke up with a cold and boy did she feel bad. What timing, right?! Never fails! But, we decided to hit the road anyway, with tissues in hand! She was pretty miserable in the car on the way. We stopped after about 8 hours and after a rough night in the hotel (Ade had a fever), she woke up feeling a little better...no fever, nose had slowed down...so we hit the road again. Madilynn was, of course, her very happy self. I'm pretty sure we have the happiest baby on the block!!! That morning of driving was much better. Ade and Madi got some rest and we were almost there! Our condo was amazing! The pool was perfect for the kids and the place was so nice! Ade was totally back to normal by the next day and I'm pretty sure she turned part-mermaid by the time the trip was over! That girl loves the water! She's still a little weary of swimming by herself though when she can't touch. I let go of her once in the deep end and she swam just fine. Stayed above water and all! But she did NOT like that ONE bit! LOL So I promised her I wouldn't do that again! My Mom, Chuck, Nicole and Alex and some of their friends were down there too...so we had an awesome time hanging with them on the beach and at the pool. We didn't do too much ocean swimming as the seaweed was in full force! It was everywhere!! Madilynn loved the sand! She dove right in and got herself a big nice mouthful of sand!! :) The Redd family was down there as well so we got to hang out with them for a day and she took some amazing pics of us on the beach!! Thanks Dre!! We drove straight through on the way home...12 1/2 hours. It wasn't too bad until the very very end. Everyone wanted out! But we made it home safe and sound and had an awesome first family vacation as a family of four!! We love our girls SO much!!

Madilynn is growing like a weed!! She was 20 lbs, 27 3/4 in. at her 6 month check! Doc said she's as big as a 9 month old! She sprouted her first 2 teeth right before we left for vacation too! She started sitting up like a pro when we were there and we came back to her crawling!! She is making her way around! And she is a dollbaby!! Such a happy baby!!

Well, both girls just woke up so I better run! I'm excited to start bloggin' to keep you all updated on the Delacoma girls!! :)
